Michigan Church Shooting Averted as Security Guard Kills Armed Suspect

A Michigan church has avoided a potentially devastating attack after a security guard shot and killed an armed suspect who began shooting outside the building.

The Wayne Police Department responded to an active shooter at Crosspointe Church in Wayne this morning. Upon arrival, officers determined that a security guard for the church shot and killed the suspect.

One victim was shot in the leg, while officers are still actively investigating.

Video shows church members scurrying for cover as they hear the sound of bullets just outside of the building.
