The lack of moral clarity over Israel is clarifying.

Photo by Taylor Brandon via Unsplash .  By Shane Vander Hart Published October 19, 2023 Antisemitism in the United States has been festering for years and it is now on full display following the Hamas attack on Israel. One thing we can state about the lack of moral clarity over Israel by some on the left and the right is that we know where they stand. The antisemitism is front and center and has been festering for years. In academic ciricles, elite institutions have developed environments that have placed students so within a bubble that the students likely believed their view of Israel is mainstream. Hence we have the Harvard University students groups releasing a statement blaming 1400 deaths during the Hamas attack in southern Israel on the Israeli government. Continue here.

Was 9/11 The Beginning Of The End Of The American Empire?

By Sean Davis - Posted at The Federalist: Everyone came together in the days after the attacks, but in hindsight 9/11 looks like the moment when everything started to fall apart. Was 9/11 the beginning of the end for America? In the 22 years since the attacks, I’ve begun to worry that the answer to that question is “yes.” It spawned the worst and most destructive foreign policy in the country’s history. The government response to 9/11 birthed the constitutional abomination that is the modern warrantless surveillance state. The Patriot Act enabled the government to weaponize its vast resources against its own people. Bush’s failed foreign policy led directly to Obama’s presidency, and indirectly to Biden’s, both of which are responsible for diminishing the U.S. at home and abroad, militarily and economically. After two failed forever wars that wouldn’t have happened without 9/11, our government is now desperately trying to foment a potentially nuclear forever war against Russia. Meanwh

President Biden’s speech from Independence Hall and the “soul” of America

By Dr, Jim Denison - Posted at The Denison Forum President Joe Biden delivered a speech last night from Independence Hall in Philadelphia. I have been where he stood and was deeply moved by the experience. It was here, at the “ birthplace of America ,” that the Second Continental Congress signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Eleven years later, in the same room, delegates to the Constitutional Convention created the United States Constitution. In many ways, their work defined what the president called the “soul” of the nation, which he defined as “the breadth, the life and the essence of who we are.” In his view, that “essence” is under threat from what he called “MAGA Republicans” who “are determined to take this country backwards, backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.” He added that they “promote authoritarian leaders, and they fanned the flames of political violence that

Send Comfort, Send Mercy

By Robert Morrison - Posted at Providence: The recent attack by Russian forces on a maternity hospital in Mukachevo, Ukraine, killing three and injuring 17, has blackened Russia’s reputation around the world. Some are quoting Sergei Lavrov, Moscow’s foreign minister, who claimed there were Nazis in there. It shows the increasing brutality of the Kremlin’s assault on Free Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky jabbed at Moscow, “Is Russia afraid of maternity hospitals? Were pregnant women going to fire at [Russian city of] Rostov?” Much is made of President Zelensky’s career as a television comic. But for centuries in such oppressed countries only comedians could tell the truth. Zelensky pointedly asked, “What kind of country is this, Russia?” Now is the time for us to show Russia what kind of country America is. We can show the Russians and the world by sending our naval hospitals USNS Comfort and USNS Mercy to Odessa. We can provide humanitarian help the Ukrainians desperately need

Are America’s Traditional Moral Pillars Fading Away?

Image Source: The Culture Alternative By Michael Wilson - Posted at The Culture Alternative: According to a study by the Cultural Research Center (CRC) at Arizona Christian University, 6 % of Americans hold to a biblical worldview. Below is a summary their findings on perceptions of morality. Our nation is facing a potential moral freefall unthinkable to earlier generations—with a majority of Americans today no longer embracing values of honesty, respect for the rule of law, the sanctity of life, and traditional sexual morality when facing moral issues. The latest research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University shows that America is undergoing a radical reshaping of what constitutes morally acceptable behavior, as American adults increasingly reject biblical teaching and absolute moral truth as the basis of moral decision-making. The study finds that American adults are as likely to rely on other people (30%) or their own personal beliefs, feelings, or exper

Sing a Little Louder, Gaslighting 2.0

Posted at ThePublicProlifer: Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse where a person or group makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust themselves . [ Medical News Today ] Gaslighting was used by Hitler when he wrote in Mein Kampf, “Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.” Of course he did not, but using this mental circus tactic, Hitler made his followers feel important for upholding what he wanted to do by using God as an influence. It took time and patience, but Hitler got it done and without much push-back, because dictators do not like push-back. Don’t look surprised, MANY radical left-wing and moderate Dems use this propaganda and gaslighting tactic on Christians, conservatives, and Republicans to influence them into submission, away from their firmly held beliefs and truths. And these radical Democrats do not

2 different ways of being an American; 2 different ways of being a human being

By Adam Ford - Posted at Disrn: Yesterday we published two seemingly unrelated news articles. Yet the story they tell when placed next to each other and viewed in the same gaze with clear eyes is one every American should hear and ponder. First, we reported on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez . The darling of the "just left of Marx" camp, in an interview with Vice, stated that once the economic lockdowns are lifted, Americans should simply refuse to go back to work. Here's what she said: "When we have this discussion about 'going back' or 'reopening,' I think a lot of people should just say, 'No. We're not going back to that. We're not going back to 70 hour weeks just so we could put food on the table and not even feel any semblance of security in our lives.'" Americans should refuse to go back to work, she says. "No. We're not going back to that," we should say. Back to what? To the greatest and most prosper

Americans find meaning in money more than friends or religion

Posted at BBC News : Published November 22, 2018 Religious faith ranked lower, providing a "great deal" of meaning to just 36% of people, on par with reading. ... As Americans gather with their family and friends for Thanksgiving dinner, they're being fed some grim home truths from the Pew Research Centre. Asked to rate what gave their life meaning, researchers found more people mentioned career and money, than friends or religion. Two-thirds of those surveyed said family was a source of satisfaction. But close to a third also cited work, while 23% said their finances made their lives meaningful. Researchers conducted the survey late last year, asking nearly 5,000 Americans an open-ended question about what parts of their lives gave them satisfaction and fulfilment. Answers included pets, hobbies, grandchildren and travel. Read more here. HT: Faith Unlocked

Political hostility escalates: “Is America headed toward a civil war?”

By Dr. Jim Denison - Posted at The Denison  Forum : “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” This is how Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urged protesters in Los Angeles to treat Trump administration officials in public. This after White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant last Friday. That same day, Florida attorney general Pam Bondi was bullied at a movie screening in Tampa by hecklers who had to be deterred by her security personnel. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was jeered at a restaurant, as was White House official Stephen Miller. The rancor may not stop with political officials. MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch : “If you vote for Trump then you, the voter, you, not Donald Trump, are standing at the border, like Nazis, going ‘you here, y

For the Iniquity of America is Not Yet Complete

Source: Wikimedia Commons By Al Baker - Posted at Banner of Truth: ‘Then in the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete.’ — Genesis 15:16 We find in Genesis 15 that Yahweh Elohim reaffirms His covenant with Abram (Genesis 12:1-3), saying that He will be Abram’s shield and great reward. He would have a son and his descendants would be as the stars of the heavens. Yahweh proves His faithfulness by having a flaming torch and smoking oven pass between the pieces of the animals Abram had cut. Yahweh was symbolically cutting a covenant with Abram. In the midst of this transaction Yahweh promises that Abram’s offspring would be enslaved and oppressed for four hundred years in a foreign land, but that in the fourth generation (four hundred years) His people would return to the land of Canaan. It would take that long because the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet complete. What does this mean? Who were the Amorites? The Amo
