Breakpoint: A Generation Poisoned by Porn Speaks

By John Stonestreet and Shane Morris Published September 27, 2023 Not long ago, most non-Christians treated pornography as a harmless expression of sexual freedom. For half a century, Hugh Hefner’s Playboy philosophy dominated, teaching people to wink at porn use. Children discovering a relative’s “stash” became a popular trope in TV and film and was played off for laughs. In the digital age, distribution and access became easier and instant, and the content grew darker. Finally, more people are admitting that, though it was never harmless, this content now poses a life-altering danger to those who stumble across it—especially children. In 2021, singer-songwriter Billie Eilish confessed to being one of those children harmed by pornography. In an interview, Eilish described her first encounter at age 11: “I think it really destroyed my brain and I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much porn,” she said. The things she saw on screen gave her nightmares and led to her

Watchdog group outs mainstream social media for sexual exploitation

By Diana Chandler - Posted at Baptist Press: WASHINGTON (BP) – Lina Nealon, a sexual assault survivor and mother of four children, poses as a 14-year-old on Snapchat. Within minutes, Snapchat’s Stories section, marketed as “content from vetted media publishers and content creators,” recommends sexually suggestive videos. “Clearly Snap and I have a different idea of what is acceptable content to share with teens,” said Nealon, vice president and director of corporate advocacy for the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE). “It is long past due for them to make blanket changes to make our kids safe.” Nealon shares her story on Instagram in NCOSE’s release May 2 of its 10th annual Dirty Dozen List , accusing the companies of facilitating, enabling and profiting from sexual abuse and exploitation. Snapchat joins Apple App Store, Discord, eBay, Instagram, Kik, Microsoft’s GitHub, Only Fans, Reddit, Roblox, Spotify and Twitter in comprising NCOSE’s Dirty Dozen. “Those on our 2023 D

The Super Bowl’s Biggest Losers: The Boys and Girls Being Sold for Sex 20 Times a Day

By John W. Whitehead - Posted at The Rutherford Institute: “ Children are being targeted and sold for sex in America every day .”—John Ryan, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children There can only be one winner emerging from this year’s Super Bowl LIV showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, but the biggest losers will be the hundreds of young girls and boys— some as young as 9 years old —who will be bought and sold for sex during the course of the big game. It’s common to refer to this evil practice, which has become the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns as child sex trafficking, but what we’re really talking about is rape. Adults purchase children for sex at least 2.5 million times a year in the United States. It’s not just young girls who are vulnerable to these predators, either. According to a USA Today investigative report, “ boys make up about

Hollywood’s Sexual Predators

By Ray Comfort - Posted at Living Waters: There are other sexual predators that man’s law ignores. There are millions who regularly peer through a window of a television or movie screen at people who are highly paid to have sex. It has been known for years that Hollywood has sexual predators, but in 2017 the dam burst. What was once hidden in the darkness of the entertainment and media industry was suddenly dragged into the light. Sexual abuse, like STDs, is one of the negative consequences in a society that has thrown off moral restraint. If anything goes, then there are no real boundaries, and so we have to live with the consequences. Take, for example, a certain popular television network that hires foxy ladies to host its programs. They are almost always attractive blondes who wear revealing fitted dresses and have long, shapely legs that are often filmed from a low angle. This is an accepted form of sexual exploitation, but few complain because the women are highly paid, a

Sexual Abuse Survivor Support

Darlene Pawlik - Public Speaker and New Creation in Christ Posted at The Darling Princess : SASS! That is so common in my home. We love to be spunky and lively in our conversations. Our playful banter is often a healing release for the grave issues we work daily to address. Sexual Abuse, Human Trafficking, and Abortion are frequent topics in our home and the focus of my work as a public speaker. Hard Story, Soft Voice I did a radio show with Savethe1 members and the renowned, Dr, James Dobson. The broadcasts, part 1 , part 2 , and part 3 were re-aired this January. I speak a couple of times each month. Nearly every time I speak about child sexual abuse, juvenile sex trafficking, or coerced abortion someone from the audience will approach me and tell me that they have experienced, at least some part of the things I’d shared from my own life. Since this was radio, one such response came in the form of an email. I will not share the email with you, but I do think the response
