Trump can't amend the Constitution by executive order

Since taking office eight days ago, President Donald Trump has released a plethora of executive orders. It’s something we expect. One president leaves office, the next if from the opposite party, will issue executive orders that reverse executive orders the previous president issued. Just as President Biden undid executive orders from Trump’s first term. And so the cycle continues. Those excited about the changes President Trump has made need to remember these executive orders only last the time the person is in office and Trump having already served one term has a shelf life of four years.
President Trump set a record for the amount of executive orders signed during the first week of his second term - 35. In contrast, he only signed four executive orders during the first week of his first term.
That said, President Joe Biden signed 60 executive orders during his first 100 days in office with 24 of those reversing Trump executive orders.
Trump is on pace to eclipse that.
To be clear, most executive orders are simply the president providing direction to the departments and agencies within the executive branch.
