Editorial: Angry, Old, White Men

By Chris Coatney

I'm repeatedly hearing the GOP described as the party of "angry, old, white men." How can the GOP broaden its base when it's constantly depicted as the party of racism?

My view is that whites are better off financially in this country not because of what they've done wrong, but because of what they've done right. I'm familiar with the history of racism in this country but the racist barriers were knocked down long ago. Blacks have never had more opportunity than they do today, but we're hearing more about racism than ever before. What is the solution?

The attacks on whites remind me of the attacks on Jews in Nazi Germany. The Jews, who were successful, were blamed for Germany's problems, despite the fact that Jewish people had contributed much to Germany's success. The politics of envy, which Hitler employed so successfully, are being repeated by leftists in America today.

Instead of playing the "blame game," blacks should be looking at what whites have done right, and learning from those examples. There are principles which must be followed to achieve prosperity. These principles are found in the Bible, which says God will bless the nation which obeys His commandments.

When a sports team consistently has a losing record, you don't turn things around by blaming your opponents. You get a new playbook and you get a new coach. Blacks have had better than average success in sports. They've done less well in education and business, not because they're less intelligent, but because they've lacked motivation.

Black youth are alienated from society not because of skin color, but because of upbringing. 1/3 - 1/2 of black children are aborted in the womb. 70% of the survivors are growing up in single parent families. Abortion is murder, the sin of child sacrifice, which God punished severely in the Old Testament. God can't bless the hands that shed innocent blood! How do young people learn biblical principles, which have been rejected so thoroughly by their parents?

If you support legalized abortion, you might as well be the KKK. What good is your black skin doing those aborted black babies? You might as well be the Grand Wizard, from Obama on down! I agree that black lives matter: blacks and liberals are the ones who need to hear the message!

The Republican Party was founded on the principle of equality; abolitionists based their arguments on the fact that we're made in God's image. According to the Declaration of Independence, we're granted inalienable rights from our Creator, beginning with the right to life. Life is the most basic civil right; what good are voting rights to a dead baby? Abortion suppresses the black vote!

The white community is crumbling too. Blacks are the canary in the coal mine. They've been the laboratory for the liberal Koolaid, the failed social experiments which have destroyed their families and community. Social liberals tell us to ignore the social issues, but these issues form the moral foundation of our nation, which has been destroyed beyond belief. We need men and women of courage, including political candidates, to raise the alarm.

This country needs to repent of its sin and return to God, and we need candidates who aren't ashamed to say it! If my people, who are called by name, will humble themselves and repent of their sin, I will forgive their sin and heal their land; 2 Chronicles 7:14.

I'm mostly white, about 1/16 Native American. I've spent 12 years of my life reaching out full time at the death camps aka "abortion mills" in and around Detroit, in addition to working full time at night. I've seen hundreds of babies saved, mostly black. If you want to reach the black community, this would be a good place to start: show them you care! What's more important than a baby's life?

It would help if some of the "old, white," Fox News commentators would invite black, prolife, Christians onto their shows more often to present their case to America. You know who some of them are; I'll add another, which you may or may not have heard of.

In an update on Friday morning, Glendale police say 26-year-old Hans Schmidt, a husband and father of two, remains in critical condition. It happened on the northwest corner of 51st and Peoria avenues around 6 p.m. Friends say Hans Schmidt was standing with a megaphone on the street corner, preaching the gospel to people passing by, something he’d apparently done countless times before. Only this time, someone pulled out a gun and shot him. Friends and family can’t understand why. “Who knows why someone would want to take it out on a preacher like that because he’s speaking the gospel and good news to everybody. He’s out to help the commun

Thanksgiving and our Christian heritage

By Angela Wittman "Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people."   ( 1 Chronicles 16:8, KJV ) While preparing for the gathering of family and friends this Thanksgiving season, let’s not forget to also prepare our hearts in humble gratefulness to God for the blessings and grace which He has bestowed upon us as individuals and as a nation. Here is a bit of history about Thanksgiving which you may not have been taught in school as taken from the website “A Puritan’s Mind” by Dr. C. Matthew McMahon : The celebration we now popularly regard as the ‘First Thanksgiving’ was the Pilgrims' three-day feast celebrated in early November of 1621 (although a day of thanks in America was observed in Virginia at Cape Henry in 1607)... The Pilgrims left Plymouth, England, on September 6, 1620, sailing for a new world that offered the promise of both civil and religious liberty. The Pilgrims had earlier left England in 1608, as the Church of England
