The Left’s War on Women: Title IX and Minnesota’s ERA

Posted at Child Protection League Action:

Just weeks ago, the Biden Administration changed the definition of sex in Title IX to include “gender identity.” As former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos stated,
The Biden Administration’s radical rewrite of Title IX guts the half century of protections and opportunities for women and callously replaces them with radical gender theory, as Biden’s far-left political base demanded. This regulation is an assault on women and girls.
Then there’s the new Minnesota “Equal Rights Amendment” which would place before voters a decision to enshrine “gender identity” into our state Constitution. If it passes both the legislature and the voters in the general election, abortion will be enshrined as a human right within our Constitution. It will also constitutionally remove religious exemptions from sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. So, incredibly, our state constitution would protect unnatural sexual identities, and NOT protect the natural—the unborn or religious freedom.

At 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, a hearing is scheduled in the House for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). If this bill moves out of committee, it will then move onto the House floor for a full vote of all representatives. Read this call to action that is just as important to do after that Monday hearing! Contact your legislators.

Both actions, Title IX and the Minnesota ERA, target women and girls in the same way and, unconstitutionally, they remove the right to practice our religious beliefs.

Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee warned,
Female students are being assaulted in school restrooms; female athletes are forced to surrender their privacy in the locker rooms and have their opportunities and achievements stolen in their own sports.
Child Protection League Action (CPLAction) warned this was going to happen almost 10 years ago. At the time, we were mocked as “fear mongers,” “transphobic,” and spreaders of “misinformation.” In 2014, when the Minnesota State High School League (MSHL) secretly crafted a policy behind closed doors that required all schools to allow biological boys to compete against biological girls if the school wanted to remain in the MSHL, we called them out. We exposed it by running a full-page ad in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
