Oregon allowing 15-year-olds to get state-subsidized sex-change operations

Liberals who control the state of Oregon have gone completely mad. The tax-payers will now have to foot the bill for sex-change operations for 15-year olds! According to Dan Springer of Fox News, there was no public debate on this decision. He says the policy was changed “to include cross-sex hormone therapy, puberty-suppressing drugs and gender-reassignment surgery as covered treatments for people with gender dysphoria, formally known as gender identity disorder.” Since I make my home in Oregon, this decision is particularly disturbing for me. Steam is coming out of my ears. Most readers are unaware that in February Oregon’s governor, John Kitzhaber, was forced to resign amid an influence-peddling scandal and that our new governor, Kate Brown, is an out and proud bisexual. And then there this: Oregon silences bakers who refused to make a cake for a gay wedding. That’s right. The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry slapped a gag order on the owners of a bakery after they were ordered to pay $135,000 in damages for choosing not to bake a cake for the wedding of two women. Essentially the order banned the couple, who are Christians, from explaining why they refused to bake the cake or to participate in the wedding.
